The INNOVATION REPOSITORY
Where Higher Education, Industry, and Innovators Come Together
The Goal:
To connect Higher Education and Industry who will form an INNOVATION TEAM to support local and cross-regional entrepreneurs who have current innovation challenges in product development, prototyping, technology issues in the development of products. The projects will require help from engineering, IT, manufacturing, science, Technology, Math and Business.
Most projects will fall in the industries of: Technology, Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, Artificial Intelligence and autonomous flight.
The Timeline
Sept to October: Entrepreneurs submit Innovation challenges
Nov to December: Innovation Teams evaluates & selects projects
Jan to February: Project launch
Late April: Innovation Teams Final presentations
Opportunity open to entrepreneur projects from:
Shenandoah Valley, Roanoke Valley, New River Valley, South West Virginia, and Southside
Seeking Innovators, STUDENTS, FACULTY and Leaders from INDUSTRY
Are You An Entrepreneur/Innovator with an innovation challenge who would like to submit a project for consideration?
Are you an industry expert, a higher ed faculty member, or college student interested in learning more or being part of a project Innovation Team?
We believe the strongest solutions to complex problems come from a diversity of thought, experiences and backgrounds. This initiative brings together University students from all disciplines and backgrounds to collaborate on driving a positive change in society.
The Innovation Repository is a bank of project that outlines specific needs of innovators and entrepreneurs.
A variety of disciplines may be engaged in a single project including but not limited to: engineering, bio-tech, technology, science, business, finance and more. This information form will provide the Advancement Foundation information regarding your interest in participating in one or more innovation challenges.
